For this project, our initial step involved consulting with our account managers, who are the primary users of this creator tool and have direct interaction with our customers.
Their insights were crucial. We conducted a thorough audit and in-depth analysis of our existing system to identify areas that weren't functioning effectively
After conducting tests with our Account Management (AM) team and a select group of users (existing brands on our platform), we found a preference for the new, simpler interface that emphasized the entire shop rather than just product addition. However, users indicated a need for more guidance than what we currently provide. The main feedback from users centered on the challenge of onboarding team members to create these storefronts independently, without needing assistance from others in their team. Moreover, a key goal for our product is to enable users to set up these storefronts quickly, ideally within minutes.
INTRODUCING
Shop Creator Wizard
I designed a 'Shop Creator Wizard' to streamline the storefront creation process. This guided pop-up, appearing at the start, includes all necessary steps to set up a storefront. Initially intended for first-time users, it has evolved into a fundamental component after discussions with our product and engineering teams. Recognizing its value in facilitating faster storefront creation, it's now an integral part of the product.
We offer five distinct storefront templates, each with unique requirements. To accommodate this variety, I developed five corresponding wizards, ensuring each is tailored to its specific template. Additionally, I designed the system for easy replication, anticipating future additions of new storefront templates
